Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your encouragement throughout this crazy journey that has become Anthologie North. At various points you have been supportive through the exciting, the overwhelming, and the unknown. This means a lot!

After a lifetime of desk work and meetings, I found myself sweating like crazy in a Dominican Republic factory while the latest pop music blared in the background. It seemed to be an incessant loop of the same songs but they eventually faded away along with the hum of machinery. I was too preoccupied with trying to find the perfect stitch to notice anymore.
For this new year, we hope that you go out and do something supremely uncomfortable - go somewhere unknown or try a new hobby - and push yourself a little further than you thought possible. From experience we can say it is invigorating and enlightening and without a doubt there will be no less of it in 2016!
What unites so many different cultures around this time of year is our connection with nature. Although we rarely acknowledge it, it’s no coincidence that there are so many celebrations and rituals around the winter solstice. It’s a way of marking the passage of time and to recognize that threshold of transition from one thing to the next.
This week we are feeling very thankful for all of the opportunities that this grand globe has to offer and the many ways in which adventure has come to shape us...

As humans we are hardwired to share stories. It’s how we come to understand the world around us, learn about each other, and ultimately feel like we’re a part of something greater than ourselves.
There are so many moving parts in trying to get a start-up business off the ground - it’s really almost unimaginable. One of the things that few people ever tell you at the outset is the sheer volume of time required. Let’s just say every little detail takes exponentially longer than you anticipate. Patience and perseverance are absolutely necessary.
Over the last few months I’ve been working hard to start a luggage company – there’s been a lot going on and it is finally starting to take shape. The idea started long before I even knew it existed.
A blank page is always somewhat intimidating (and this one is no different). It represents starting new, which can be both scary and exciting, but it also represents a commitment to something and that may instill in us an even more profound fear. The idea of putting a few thoughts out there means that you might actually have to follow that direction.
